2014 will be a year for Estonia in which regional cooperation will receive special attention. Starting in January, we will head Baltic cooperation in both the Baltic Assembly and the Baltic Council of Ministers. Also beginning in January, we will coordinate Nordic-Baltic cooperation. As of July 2014, Estonia will also assume the yearly presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States, thereby simultaneously becoming the head of VASAB. Additionally, Estonia will begin its two-year chairmanship of HELCOM in July.
